It is now necessary to register the obligatory AL insurance online, otherwise the AL registration may be cancelled by the local municipality. In this post, we explain in detail how this can be done, but it is important to note that it is only possible if the owner has the Chave Móvel Digital (CMD) or a Portuguese Citizen’s Card.
For those AL owners who don’t have the CMD, we have created a service to register the insurance for you. If you don’t yet have the insurance (although it is obligatory by law!), we can also help you obtain it from ALEP.
